Admissions FAQ

WES adopts the standards of Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.

Admissions is open for the Academic Year 2024/2025 and will be closed once the classes are full capacity.

Pre-k (Nursery – KG 2)

Children applying for Pre-K, KG1, and KG2 are given a one-on-one assessment that focuses on school readiness benchmarks, fine and gross motor skills, language skills, numeracy skills, spatial concepts, and age-appropriate academic standards. The admission assessment and file review will be the final determination of your student’s academic level and readiness for our program, leading to an enrollment decision from the committee. Children must be fully potty trained in order to attend class.

Elementary School (Grades 1 – 5)

Students applying for Grades 1 and 2 are given as assessment that includes readiness skills, math, reading, a writing assessment,

Students applying for Grade 3 through 5 will be asked to take the assessment test, for both mathematics and reading comprehension.

The admission assessment and file review will be the final determination of your student’s academic level for our program.

Middle School (Grades 6 – 8)

Middle school students applying for Grades 6 through 8 will be asked to take the assessment test.

The admission assessment and file review will be the final determination of your student’s academic level for our program.

High School (Grades 9 -12)

Middle school students applying for Grades 9 and 10 will be asked to take the assessment test. The admission assessment and file review will be the final determination of your student’s academic level for our program.

Online learning is not the same thing as homeschooling. But parents of online students need to be prepared to take nearly as active a role in their child’s education as homeschooling parents do.
